This month, we’re celebrating Carl Linney, a true superstar at SupaLite. You might know Carl as the man in our SupaLite van!
What is Your Job Title and Job Role?
I am the Business Development Manager here at SupaLite. My main role is to sell more of our products through trade counters and builders’ merchants.
How Long Have You Been Working at SupaLite?
I started working at SupaLite in July 2023, so it’s coming up to nearly a year now. It’s flown by, but it’s been so rewarding.
What Do You Enjoy Most About Your Role?
I love meeting our existing customers, understanding more about their business, discovering their upcoming plans, and how SupaLite can help them. It’s always a pleasure seeing customers sharing their SupaLite installations, and knowing we played a part in creating that final result.
I also really enjoy travelling around the UK, showcasing our new products. Our customers are our main focus, and my priority is ensuring we’re doing all we can to provide them with the best support and service possible.
What’s the Biggest Challenge You’ve Faced in Your Role and How Did You Overcome It?
Travelling nationally is always a challenge, but the SupaLite Support Vehicle has been a pleasure to drive. The idea for the van came to us after attending the FIT Show last year, and soon after, I began using it to visit our customers. The feedback we have received has been phenomenal.
We carry everything from roof samples to a full range of marketing materials and participate in open days, training sessions, and promotional events.
It’s always an exciting challenge, but one I thoroughly enjoy.
Can You Describe a Project or Accomplishment at SupaLite You’re Particularly Proud of?
The Supa6 seminars were incredibly well received.
Last year, we completed a tour of Britain, completing 6 seminars at 6 stadiums in 6 weeks to existing customers. The seminars were a wonderful success, and it was fantastic to see so many of our customers around the UK.
The seminars included Q&A sessions, multi-product information, networking opportunities, and expert speakers. Our team worked so hard behind the scenes to make it happen, and we’re proud to say it was a huge hit!
The stadium locations of our Supa6 Seminars included Wolverhampton Wanderers, Newcastle United, Bristol City, Colchester United, Sheffield United, and Burnley FC.
What Work Memory is Your Favourite?
Even though I’ve been here for less than a year, I’ve already created many wonderful memories. I would have to say seeing new customers enjoying the benefits of SupaLite’s exceptional service is up there with one of my favourites.

What Are Your Interests or Hobbies Outside of Work?
Being a father of four keeps me very busy! I’m also a season ticket holder at the famous Manchester United.
