This month, we’re celebrating Nina Watters, a truly valued member of the SupaLite team who has been with us for over 11 years!

What is Your Job Title and Job Role?
In my role as Finance Director, I oversee the running of the accounts department. I also manage most legal and HR aspects of the business.
Along with my fellow directors, our roles are pivotal for decision-making and ensuring the company is successful and operates legally within the UK.
What Do You Enjoy Most About Working at SupaLite?
No two days are the same. I enjoy the variety of challenges that are thrown my way. Also, we have a great working relationship within my team and the board of directors.
What’s The Biggest Challenge You’ve Faced in Your Role and How Did You Overcome it?
A major challenge at SupaLite was when COVID-19 suddenly forced us to halt operations in March 2020. The board of directors had to devise a plan to resume work safely and protect our employees. I oversaw the COVID-19 testing and compliance for safe working during the pandemic.
What Accomplishments Are You Most Proud of in Your Time at SupaLite?
I led a complex and rewarding project to migrate to a new accounting software solution at SupaLite. This involved all the company departments, and I was fortunate to have the support of a fantastic team working with me.
The new software has improved our financial reporting, security, efficiency, and collaboration. We have also automated some of our processes using the software, and I am always looking for ways to improve and innovate.

Do You Have Any Unique Talents or Skills That Your Colleagues Might Not Know About?
I am a keen runner, having completed three marathons. I love being on the trails, particularly in the Lake District. Most recently, I participated in my first Ultra Marathon, the Lakeland 50.
This event saw me navigate the trails between Pooley Bridge and Coniston via Ambleside, which is over 50 miles!
