During the summer, we partnered with Okehampton Glass to transform a large commercial property, enhancing the learning environments at Copplestone Primary School. Not just one, but two roofs were installed as part of this remarkable upgrade!

Project Overview

Okehampton Glass Ltd were approached by Copplestone Primary School to explore options for upgrading one of their ageing conservatories, which was in desperate need of upgrading. The goal was to transform the space back into a functional room for both pupils and staff.

The first conservatory they assessed had significant issues: it was leaking in nearly all corners, was freezing cold in the winter, and overheating in the summer. This meant this particular room was out of action for most of the year.

After providing detailed quotes and drawings for the first conservatory, Okehampton Glass were also asked to inspect a second conservatory on the school grounds, which was also in need of an upgrade.

The second conservatory needed more extensive work beyond just replacing the frames and roof. Together with other fellow local trades, Okehampton Glass managed to help organise the extra work requested to complete the transformation.

This project for us from start to finish was a total pleasure. We went back and forth with designs for both jobs to make sure we had captured the end users image and ideas of what they were trying to achieve.

From the very first day we started this project, our fitters worked tirelessly throughout the hottest part of the summer holiday’s with one main goal on their mind – both conservatories must be finished by the time the school returns at the end of the summer holidays.
