In 2022, we collaborated with Wymondham Windows on a remarkable installation that delighted the customer with their newly transformed roof.

Project Overview

The homeowners recently moved into their new residence in 2021, which featured a huge conservatory that had been built about 12 years earlier. Positioned facing the south, it was bright but ferociously hot in the summer, (the highest recorded temperature was 50 degrees), and freezing cold in the winter.

In addition, they discovered that when it rained, it poured – inside. It leaked from numerous places in the roof making the whole room virtually unusable. The homeowners knew they had to invest in a new roof.

They contacted a number of companies about either replacing the glass or the entire roof. Wymondham Windows were the one that stood out in terms of options for a SupaLite Warm Roof that would give the homeowners warmth in the winter and a comfortable temperature in the summer. The ability to design where they had roof lights was also an added attraction.

The work started during one of the hottest summers on record but that did not deter their teams of roofers, electricians and plasterers who were all excellent. The result? A beautiful new SupaLite Tiled Roof featuring five SkyVista glass panels, ensuring the conservatory can be enjoyed all year round.

Working with Wymondham Windows to Provide a Solution

After receiving detailed drawings and the size requirements for the project, we replicated this in our CAD software, creating in-depth 3D drawings demonstrating what the roof will look like once built. Once approved, our team got to work, creating and building the SupaLite Roof.

During the manufacturing stage, we ensured the roof is cut to the exact sizes requested and in kit form ready to be delivered within 7 days, along with the five SkyVista Glass Panels.
